Whole wheat dosa wraps
These whole wheat dosa wraps make a cute breakfast or snack for the holidays! Red, white, green is the color theme of the season and I thought this would make a great breakfast treat or a snack for my daughter while also sneaking in some nutrition. Very easy to make, if you like me, are not artsy, this one’s a safe bet! 🙂
I want food to be simple, nutritious and taste good and this one certainly ticks all the boxes! Comes together quickly too! For a cream cheese lover like me, these wraps are such a tasty treat! 🙂
What is whole wheat dosa?
Whole wheat dosa is a vegan Indian crepe, prepared using a simple batter made using whole wheat flour and water.
These dosas are my go-to dinner when I have no dinner planned. Mix the batter in a minute, cook them for less than a minute each and serve them with some leftover vegetables from lunch and homemade yogurt. That’s dinner in less than 15 minutes! lol, lazy me!
How I made holiday themed wraps
Here, for these holiday themed wraps,
- I have taken the same ‘lazy’ dosa and coloured it using spinach
- Stuffed it with sweetened cream cheese and craisins(dried cranberries)
- Topped it with whipped cream.

Substitutions.
- For the dosa, use all purpose flour instead of whole wheat flour.
- For the white filling, use hung yogurt/mascarpone cheese/ricotta cheese.
- For the reds, use fresh red berries. Fresh berries cut the sweet, heavy nature of the cream cheese.
If you aren’t as lazy as I am and for a fancier breakfast, serve the whole wheat dosa wraps with fresh cranberry sauce on the top!
Other uses of whole wheat dosa
These whole wheat dosas can be made plain, without spinach. Here are some ideas on how to use them.
- Serve with coconut chutney for a traditional south-Indian breakfast.
- Use as a taco shell for your favourite taco fillings.
- Make peanut butter + jam rolls. Use two dosas to make the rolls leak proof 🙂
